The campsite

We have a small, simple campsite along the Vesdre river. You can wander around the campsite and play by the river, in the forest trench or in the sandpit in our garden.

In the garden, you're free to find a place to relax. In the morning, you can enjoy a croissant with a cup of coffee or catch the last rays of sunshine of the day. In the evening, we might even have a campfire for all evening wanderers.

More information on: camping pitches, tent pitches in the forest or our cabins.

And who's "we"? We are Thomas and Esther. Since 2023, we've had the honor of looking after this magnificent property. You'll find us nearby, with our two little boys.

Services and facilities

For colder days, we have a greenhouse with a wood-burning stove, where you can warm up and make yourself comfortable. There are proper toilets and showers, with floor heating for very cold days.

At reception, you'll find our little kiosk where you can buy drinks and snacks. You'll also find the bakery's order list. During the high season, we place a daily order. Outside high season, we order at only weekends.

Thank you for helping us to sort waste and recycling. We offer garbage can bags at reception, so please don't hesitate to ask.

The people

What's a campsite without its inhabitants?

In our first year, we've already experienced the presence of strangers, our friends, friends of the campsite and people we met on the campsite years ago who have remained friends ever since.

With opening and closing weekends, we like to build our community of campers and good friends. During these weekends, we work together to prepare the site for the season or for winter. Most of all, we celebrate this place.

If you think you have something to offer or create on the campsite during these magical weekends, please don't hesitate to contact us. In the photo above, for example, you can see our friends hosting a spontaneous pizza party.

We also have an open invitation for anyone who would like to help out during the season.

FAQ (excuse my French)

  • Can we build a fire on our pitch?

Open fires are not allowed on the campsite, but we do have a communal area in the garden, where you can enjoy the fire we make.

We may not make a fire every evening, so you can bring your own wood or buy some from us to make a (communal) fire.

  • I'm coming by car, where can I leave it?

Cars can be parked in the parking lot at the campsite entrance. Cars are allowed in to place your caravan, but must then be moved to the parking lot.
Wheelbarrows are available for all forest pitches to transport your luggage to your pitch.

You cannot leave your car on - or next to - your pitch.

  • Where do I take my dog for a walk?

    Good question.
When you leave the campsite, cross the road at the bus stop, you will find a small road that leads to the fields.
You can walk about 20 minutes or up to 1 hour from here.
Need a bag for #2? Ask at reception if you didn't bring one.

  • Do you offer breakfast?

We have a bakery service on weekends and in high season every day. You can sign up on a list at the reception until 20:00h, and pick up your order the next morning.

  • I have a motor home. What should I do with my grey water?

We have a "WC chemique" for your black water in the sanitary building.
If you have a portable grey water tank, you can also empty it here.
We do not have a grey water point for campers.

  • When is the "high season"?

During Ascension and Pentecost weekends, July and August.

It is only possible to book 3 nights or more in high season.

  • I want to come with a group

The camping is small. Therefore we are not too keen on groups.

If you are from an official (hikers) organisation, feel free to send us an email. We can explore the options.

If you like to spend a weekend with others that you know, then each family needs to book their own spot via this website.
We don’t have fixed spots, so there is no guarantee you will be right next to each other. You can just find a free spot upon arrival.

  • I have a friend who wants to visit me. Is that possible?

    Yes, it is allowed.
Always let us know in advance if you're expecting visitors, we like to know when there are new people on the grounds.
We charge 5 euros per person, for adults only. Your visitor can pay this on arrival, or we can add it to your bill.

  • I see that check-in starts at 15:00, but I'll be arriving earlier. Can I enter the campsite?

You must always register before entering the property.

Too early anyway? There's plenty to do nearby, or park at the entrance to the nearby forest.

Please respect our closing hours of 12:00 to 15:00.

  • Do you rent out bicycles?

No, but you can rent one near Eupen station Velo SOS who are very friendly and helpful.

You can also rent electric bikes in East Belgium here.

  • Can I charge my E-bike?

If you like to charge your e-bike, you can leave the battery at the reception and we will charge it there. We charge 4,- euro.

  • I would like to charge my electric car

You can ask about this at the reception.
